When I first got my CDL I worked for a guy like this for a month. Running illegal and paid a few bucks just enough for food. The experience was worth more than the money he didn't pay me. I was hired by a small fleet owner, a few years later bought my own truck and got my own authority.
Never felt the need to rat on the guy. I was actually grateful because in the early 90's was hard to find a job straight out of school.
So take the experience and go find yourself a good job. No one is forcing you to stay there.

 

Funny part is...

If you were to say you were going to go home an smoke a joint half the people in this thread would tell you your a disgrace to trucking an should have your CDL revoked. Or get a lecture on how drugs are bad, an this an that, but they will ignore a company falsifying logs, etc etc..cause..he's just working hard..blah blah.

Yet they will quote safety an health facts if you mention weed. Yet...told to mind your business when it comes to a company falsifying logs, drivers driving tired, etc. Yep...safety is number 1.

Some of us have stepped away from this fine profession to help treat conditions naturally, it does your health best if you step away from all them pills and wonder miracles they push on us. I kind of am on the conspiracy theory that our food is not quite right and have experimented a bit and am back walking and getting full mobility back so well I might have to go back to work. I miss trucking since been since late 70,s but from what I read on this site sometimes, why? You can find jobs that allow you to live freely, actually be home every day and sleep in the same bed. Stuff like this makes you wonder.

I've ratted out bad truck drivers twice, there are those occasional occasions where you'd be a chump not to.
Maybe the OP is new to the game and just doesn't understand that practically everyone cheats the logs. But when the company does it to you, without any consent or understanding - that is pretty bad.
