There have been a lot of people that have had vehicles damaged by uninsured uship "carriers" that were running illegally and some that hd to find a legal carrier to retrieve the vehicle from impound after the illegal hauler was caught running without authority . Legal haulers have a special rate for shippers that tried using an illegal uship hauler :biggrin_2559:

If it's a "Smart Car" you find a good compactor and then call USPS for one of their "if it fits it ships" boxes. No, really...... it's the only way "Smart Cars" should be delivered anywheres.

You might just call around to some local towing companies. Some of them have a flatbed or two up their sleeves.

A lot of illegals have DOT numbers . A lot of shippers don't know to check for the MC number . Many illegal haulers on uship are just doing a 1 shot deal . They may have bought a vehicle several hundred miles away and are looking for something to haul in that direction to help pay expenses .

Having DOT numbers is different than having proper authority. If they run the numbers they might find they were not authorized to use them. Authority is not issued until the insurance is in place.
