Seventy7 - to become a freight broker, you don't have to have a course, but you do have to have $75,000 bond or trust to satisfy the FMCSA's regulations for brokers. You should have some form of contingent cargo. The fee for your broker authority from the FMCSA is $300 and you can do that online. The bond and the authority are the only 2 requirements. Then the hard work begins...finding shippers and carriers.
