Update on the tractor. It was never delivered yesterday or today. It turns out the driver got there to pickup and realized the tractor has a 540 pto and the bush hog is a 1000 pto. The tractor was supposed to be able to handle either one but came wrong from the factory. So, in any event they are overnighting a conversion kit to make it how its supposed to be. #### it man, i just want my tractor! haha

At least the driver caught it before you went to bush hogging!

Be happy you need a bush hog….. around here you’d still be using a snow plow or blower……

I kind of like this little guy. I’ll have to do some measuring and checking weights but this trailer seems like a good starter for me to haul my own stuff on. Be nice if I could have the tractor, bush hog, and maybe a skid steer on the front deck. They make some longer ones up to 48 ft but I am a little concerned about maneuverability.

I wouldn’t be able to haul my own trucks but that rarely is needed anyway. Probably best to focus on agriculture type need.

Landolls sure are nice, but cost way too much for occasional moves. We gave $119,000 for a new 440b last year.

That "40ft step deck" is effectively a 35ft step with a 5ft rear overhang. Yes it will be a great cornering trailer that will not drag or hang up on rough roads or going over humps but your load weight center of gravity is effectively 18 to 24 inches higher than a RGN and therefore more care must be taken when cornering on rougher terrain.
These things are tradeoffs that may need to be considered. A shorter trailer will be quicker to back around corners but will react quicker to steering inputs.
17.5 inch tires are normally rated for speeds of under 65mph and you need to keep that in mind. They are also faster wearing (smaller diameter).
The deck height will be 36inches or so and therefore loads of 10'6" or more may need to be permitted.
