Put a 4.1 cubic foot galanz on the top bunk yesterday. My apu and inverter have no issues running it.

I agree, top bunk sounds like serious risk to me! In my first truck I took out the passenger seat and strapped my dorm fridge down in its place. It worked great, and it was a handy place to use as a kind of table besides.

Granted that. That's why I would start the truck for the high load draws.

All I had were my 3 start batteries operating the inverter, never killed them over The 15 months I had the truck.

Used a ratchet strap rated for 300 lbs. She isn't budging.

First ask your company what you can install in the truck, you need 1500 and up inverter to make sure you have the power you need, so you can ring the fridge and some other small stuff.

Get a lifetime cooler and a 20 pound bag of ice. Lasts me close to 5 days until it’s water and ice slush.

A fridge I never had a use for. Short time I did the plug in cooler thing and what a pain in the arse. I do far more heating than cooling. Get some decent soups, some bread, mountain house freeze dried meals are amazing...then get a propane camping stove, a kettle to boil water, a cheap pot to heat soup in and a USB lighter to fire it up. A stove is far more useful to me than a fridge plus no ruined batteries or crazy idling trying to keep it going.

    But that’s just me.

Canned stuff, freeze dried stuff and bread?

    No thanks.
I'll stick with fresh stuff that I can actually freshly cook - not just heat up and/or reconstitute.

But, that's just me I'm sure.
