While I don't do that now, logsrus,it is because of the logs. As far as being pulled behind scales, most states dot at the scales already know what companies to watch for without the warning they see on the prepass, besides,as far as i have known and been told,if you have a bad safety record you will be pulled in anyway, and probably won't be allowed to get prepassed and checked anyway.

The plastic package your PrePass originally came in hides the signal. Or so I am told. I was having problems with mine and was told to put it back in the package until the problem was cleared up so I wouldn't be fined for going through tolls and paying cash for them.

easy keep a small peice of bubble wrap, it will keep anything from going off and if you want to piss your dispatcher off, put bubble wrap on the dome of your qualquam, it will show you are in the middle of the ocean:biggrin_25517:

prepass will only disclose trasnsponder times in the event that you are involved in a fatality accident which leads me to ask the question is your company pushing you so hard that you must drive illegal because as per thier own rules thats the only way they will disclose it best advice i could give DRIVE LEGAL AND HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT

Okay, I have another dumb question here. My boyfriend is concerned that he screwed up when he drove through Oregon; he usually is in the South. I don't know the rules about weigh stations so I am hoping that someone can help me out. He said that he was going through OR, he said that he got a green light, so he passed the station. He said that in his rear-view, he saw all the other trucks pulling in. The next day, a company-wide message went out on the Qualcom saying that someone blew by the scales in OR and the company received a warning. He is now concerned that it was him. I thought the green light meant you could go past the scales, or is it different in Oregon? If you passed the scales, wouldn't they have pulled him over. Please forgive the dumb question; he isn't doing well out there and I am his only source of information. It seems like everything that his trainer told him was completely wrong.

Don't panic. Someone might have blown the scale, but it wasn't your man. (Trust me, I'm sure the company would have Let Him Know about it.) Here's how it works, once and for all...

The little box in your truck gets priority. It's what you pay attention to first. It can do three things:

GREEN: When it turns green, keep rolling. You're cleared to go, don't worry about what the sign says or what the other trucks are doing.

RED: When it turns red, you pull in. Once again, don't worry about what the sign says or what the other trucks are doing.

NOTHING: This is when you care about anything else but that box. If it doesn't light up, either the state has shut off that PP site for some reason, or there's a hiccup on the transponder or reader end. If your box just sits there, it's like you don't have a PP at all. Read the signs and do what they say.

Oregon doesn't matter. Knight shuns the GnG but uses PP, and the only difference to us is that we get redlighted into every open scale(and some that aren't! ). In any case, Green = Go, and Red = Stop no matter where you are or what box you have. If your man's PP did indeed give him the green, tell him not to sweat it. He did what he should have done, and he's not in trouble. :biggrin_25512:

KY, OR, WA use a different system than prepass. If he got a green in OR then his company must have the system that OR uses. With Prepass I ALWAYS got a red in OR. Open scale or not.

Usually if some one blows a scale a cop will come out to the side of the road and discuss the matter with you. Also usually in a not nice manner.
