Covenant has had issues in the past with PP going green in OR. They and SRT issued warning to all drivers STOP regardless of the light or they would be fined.
This came down about the same time they told their drivers to QUIT running the Oklahoma scales west of OKC LMAO.
how do you make Prepass go undetected?

I think I'm glad we don't have a PrePass! Sounds like a royal PITA to me.
-
Wrap the darn thing in aluminum foil, wont work then!
Had to do the same thing with my I-pass, Co decided they wanted receipts to reimburse for tolls so i just threw the I-Pass into the bunk, got the green light at the cash box anyway, wrapped it in foil after that and never got a green light after that. -
wow. is it really that hard to play by the rules?
-
I would be tempted to Fed-Ex mine if I had one... think of the chaos you could reap
Kansas Thanks this. -
Just FYI, Oregon has their own transponders that they give away for free. They do not use the PREPASS system because of a legal dispute so OR just decided to use their own system. Any PREPASS transponder will light up red as it is not recoginized in OR's system. Oregon's system, called GREENLIGHT can be registered in OR WA ID and be used along with NORPASS. So, regardless if it's covered in tin foil or whatever, if the scale sign is flashing, you gotta report. A failure to stop and weigh ticket can cost you up to $472!!! Not good. They also have bypass cameras that will record your plate and company information and they can mail you a ticket. Not worth it.

I haven't hung mine on the windshield in a long time now, since it fell off LOL. My cb sits on top of the dash, I have a little plastic basket velcro'd on top of the cb where my calculator, white-out, stapler, pens-pencils sit. I put the PP in the basket standing up so I can see the light flash. Easily accessible when I want to hide it.
When I want to hide it. I have a zip lock bag heavily lined with alum foil. Throw it in the bag, and under my leg. Works like a champ.
Great for toll road pass readers too... -
I can quite often. I love the thing... -
I only used PrePass when I needed it....
To avoid getting "tagged" and leaving an electronic trail I would just tuck between my leg and the seat...I was just throwing it in the glove compartment for a while but it beeped one time and tagged me so I quit doing that..
