As long as that schedule makes sure you're ontime for pickup and delivery, sure...Sleep isn't a luxury, you'll get it as long as you're not one of these people, like my wife, that need 12hrs day! :biggrin_2559:

Hubby and I team drive... I do better at night than he does. I can do the 'power' naps, he needs at least 2 hours to recharge. When we send in our ETA's we put in up to 4hrs per night for the 'just in case we need a nap' time. There have been a few runs where its been tight enough that we couldn't schedule that time in, but its rare. When that happens and I can't do the power nap due to schedules... I aim for almost every rest stop if I need to pee or not - just to get out and walk around for 5 minutes... or if they are to far apart and easy on/off ramp will do. Talking on the phone, stimulating your mind w/radio's, audio books - all those things help - but the best cure for the 'sleepies' is SLEEP!!

Once again, I must say that the beauty of oversize/heavy haul is this.....when the sun goes down, I go down.

Also another beautiful thing. I can usually park toward the entrance/exit of a TS. I usually try and get to one of the bigger chains as they generally have ample room to enter and near the fuel islands for me to pretty much park where I want. Have never had a problem blocking anyone or from the management. Have parked in more than one scale also, uncoupled, and gone to get something to eat. They have to give us "safe haven". Getting fuel can be a bit of a pain sometimes though.

I Drive from 5pm to 4am, and the sleep monster comes around 1:30 to 2:30, then I take up to 3 15m naps (off duty) and it works. Its not the easiest and I can't stand the 1am to 4am time frame for truck drivers, I see the worst behavior stemming from drivers over-stretched, weaving in -out only to be woken up by the shoulder rivets

    Lady K Thanks this.

But yeah singing War is the Answer or Burn It Down will get the old blood flowing. Cemetary Gates (RIP Dime Bag), Walk, Peace Sells, One, Or some mellower stuff like Disturbed, Godsmack, Megadeath.............

If you've got Sirius they have been doing all the new songs off the album.

I know for most of my life all I eat was junk food and candy (I have a fast metabolism so I do not get fat from it so I would eat bad stuff all day) and would be sleepy. Now I eat healthy and take vitamins and I am full of energy. I wish I knew about that in high school, I probably would have gotten a scholarship since I understood everything that was taught but was just too #### tired.
