When I was in school we had some trailers that were loaded with ballast. We quickly learned to avoid hooking up to those if we could. ;)

Push in clutch ... put it in first gear ... being the rpm up to 1800 and drop the clutch.

Start off in a gear that gets the truck moving without a strain on the clutch. If it is 2 ND or 3rd and usually skip a gear on the first shift because the lower gears are closer together.

Lay down bleach to get a good smoking. Nothing looks cooler than burning money!

Absolutely agree with this method. I'd like to also add that this method only works on leveled surface. If you're fully loaded, and starting uphill, you're gonna have to give some throttle, otherwise you'll stall out. If you're not use to the clutch, and worried about rollback, hit that hand brake, and release it when you want to get going. And remember to shift them gears a lot quicker, because the tach will drop real quick, otherwise you'll have to start all over again if you miss a gear.
