Grease is cheaper than parts and labor. Messy but wonderful. Mine gets it every 2 weeks. Doesn't even take that long. While I am under it I look for other issues. How some of these carries go 40 to 50000 miles no grease etc ? Not for me. Mayby its just me.

    izifaddag and Siinman Thank this.

When I first started wrenching the old guys Alway s
said grease is cheaper than iron. So grease trumps iron.

Our trucks have Groeneveld auto greasers, old trailers used to have them as well.

Not quite as necessary with the switch to full disk brakes on all axles, but still a decent amount of greasepoints & trucks/trailers get PM'ed at least quarterly if not sooner.

Every part that needs grease gets a small amount every 4hrs; a fantastic innovation for the constantly changing environment that the trucks are in.

The new oil change standards are only getting longer (60-75k miles) so expect to see greasing neglect increase further.
