How does one get into hauling things like these?

Right when I started with Sammons, they sent us to retrive a stepdeck
Oh we will get you a ld for it also. Then bring to yard in Ia. Then pickup your lowboy. Ok you know I got heavy trk
So this ld is portable light on wheels
You ever try tieing them down with 1/2 inch chains lol
I only had 4 small chains. Talk about people looking at you funny

 

I've got two 20' chains. The rest I cut down to 10'. Each has a slip hook on one end and a grab hook on the other

 

On my regular trailer I carry 8 1/2" chains 3' long, grab hooks on one end slips on the other. I love them. On my big trailer I carry 8 16' 1/2" chains

 

I have been known to oversecure, actually I always try to. Be it chains or straps I will have more than needed. But if I can get by with 3/8" I'm not going to sling the 1/2".

 

If anyone’s interested I can point you in the right direction.
you’d have to live or move to Texas and have some sort of suitable experience..
