Not operator error, faulty equipment. Operator was very ####y and would not admit the equipment was faulty. Like I said the manager handled it very well.

Obviously, I haven't used it but I wonder... when you pull up & call for tire pass service.. how long its gonna take Jim Bob to come running out there? I doubt seriously that they have a guy sitting around just inside the door waiting for the bell to ring. I would bet that Jim Bob is gonna be out in the tire shop across the property up under someone's trailer trying to get a tire changed or eating lunch or....

Some of you guys who have first hand experience with this service had any problems getting Jim Bob out there before you get through fueling?

So according to this thread it works by pressing the button which summons a cashier who deflates your steer tires.

I see these things in all the Love's I come into now.
    And, I wonder why?

They take up a whole fuel lane, and all to check the air pressure?
We can do that easily enough just by thumping or using a pressure gauge. We can fill a low tire easily enough as well - without wasting ten bucks.
And like a previous poster mentioned, it can cost you more time and money if it screws up.

The people that came up with this expensive idea are of the same breed that came up with Plus-1 in Swift.
They are nothing more than boneheads.

I was at the Mid America trucks how in 2014 in the original driver panel, we got paid to give feedback to Loves to a few ideas they had like factoring, the layout of tire shops going forward, and this.

It was pointed out that this would tie up a lane. If busy you can pull into the fuel island anyway, even if you don't need the service. You might even have free credits on your card. The purpose is to drive business to their tire shop. I can tell you I've already had Loves techs call and lie to my company about how much brakes I had left to try and get a brake job.

This has been one of the reasons I was so curious about how it works... cause, seriously, every Loves I have been to that has one of these installed, has a Tire Pass sign standing, blocking the lane.
So, it was strange to me why they would block the lane with a sign, before you even get to the call box thingy.

Well, looks like other truck stops will be getting my business now. I have no desire to sit and wait at fuel islands even longer

My local loves only has one fuel lane dedicated to this. It was installed and open about a week before a driver nailed it with his trailer and messed it up bad. Haven't seen it open since.
