H3R3T1C, CW Spook and Toomanybikes Thank this. -
Some states just lay your driving record right out for you. In WA any infraction will be on your CDL for 55years after you get the CDL.

its like guy said they can go back 10 years question is how lazy are they some wont check and some will check everything
-
Speaking for companies. The law says we have to have a 10 year record from you. We have to check with all companies where you were under DOT rules. We have to send out letters and make three attempts to contact employers. We are not looking for anything other then to put a check off that we did it. We also have to have a current MVR from your state. That is updated annually.
-
As far as MVR s, most companies its 3 to 5 years. Employment history and background checks , most want the last 10 years
-
A company like Old Dominion who is famous for their scrutiny background checks would they still typically hold to a standard 10 DOC background screen using hireright?

If you have a skeleton in your closet, be ready to explain. Be honest but don't volunteer information. JMHO< YMMV
