Focus as much energy on learning the FMSCA as you are looking for a company. Five years in and I still need help with it. Close to or on average atleast once a month I have to ask for clarification on something.

Have you ever been told that a felony with (theft) is a issue with hire? Old dominion has policy that they will consider larceny & theft felons only if committed before 21 years old - I was 18 at the time. It is really hard to find specifics about OD hiring policies - im guessing they may hire someone to monitor and scrub company info that gets posted, outside of forums like these that is.

A lot of companies have weird policys like that. I don't know much about OD. Just call recruiting and say I would like to apply but I have this and this on my record. They will know better than myself. Or ask some of their drivers.
Usually most companies look at when it happened. Such as how old a felony is. Then they look at what have you done with your self since it happened. If your 40 and it was 20 years ago you should be good. But then again I don't recruit for them so I can't say yes or no.
What I had to do was go with a small company get my year experience then I moved onto where I wanted to be. Good luck don't give up.
