How far out should I apply?

I am wondering how far out should I apply to some trucking companies if I am relocating to a new state in January? I've heard some mixed opinions but would like to have better insight from you guys any info helps thank you in advance.

 

Id be surprised if anyone even calls you at all until the first quarter starts.
