Supposedly epes has a terminal 30 minutes or so away I should be hearing back from them soon.
LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
I’ve got 50 min commute but I’m on a 3/2 so it’s not bad. When I was extraboard our TM let me stay in the hotel when I covered a 600 mile turn.
LtlAnonymous, Jay5GS, Brettj3876 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I commute a little over an hour each way
LtlAnonymous, Cardfan89 and wtlong88 Thank this. -
I used to commute 90 miles each way. It was still worth it to have a career instead of an OTR job.
LtlAnonymous, Cardfan89, Bob Dobalina and 1 other person Thank this. -
110 miles one way 6 times a week plus $9.90 in tolls each way.
LtlAnonymous, wtlong88 and '88K100 Thank this. -
I drive 10 minutes to the yard, home daily and declined to buy another property because the commute would have been 20 minutes. An hour is quite a bit of time but lots do it in larger cities.
LtlAnonymous and wtlong88 Thank this. -
With US Foods, sometimes they will consider a drop lot to be a standalone location and sometimes it’s considered part of the nearest full warehouse, and you can just bid on a route at the drop lot once you finish training (assuming there is an open route there). So if you don’t see any job postings in town, you could just apply to the next nearest location and ask about it when you get called.LtlAnonymous and wtlong88 Thank this.

How long have you been doing that for?LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
