six or seven would actually be a fine place to start as that would service a couple clients well, just got to go find those clients and that is the big trick
it can be done but gain some knowledge and find the way to get your membership into the old boy network

I have transported fuel to the oil fields and I have hauled salt water out of the tanks. I love tanker work. You get out of the truck, get to move your body. Yeah, the hoses weigh about 60 pounds and as Medicine Man said, you don't have to lift 'em up and toss 'em around. Develop a rhythm and a method, you'll be fine. Word of caution: That high pressure stuff is no Joke. Get trained and don't take short cuts when it comes to coupling and uncoupling hoses. Good luck! Enjoy!

water in a tank is quite the show but only when it is someone else
generally pays buy the tonmastllc Thanks this. -
i remember reading what happens when there is water in the tank. how would you go about getting the water out and what do these guys haul in the off season. and besides asphalt plants for road construction where else do they haul to. Thanks
-
there are a lot of folks that use asphalt ,such as roofing manufactures other plants that make spec emulsions etc..if you get in with an emulsion plant they can line you up with a lot of loads but it is best to dedicate trailers to just emulsions
most municipalities take infrequent loads year round
the hard part would be enough equipment to service the plants as they may take many loads a day like one every hour if they are cranking and it might be hours away to get the spec required
