Most females have pit bulls. Expect it.

Amounts of money seem low to me. Should at Prime, average $1400 a week as a team driver. Once you have experience. It’s easy for team driver to make over $100k/yr elsewhere.

I’ve got a female team driver. She always wants me to park where she can watch goings on. Lazy, refuses to drive, and opps to take a nap instead. My co driver is a cat.

being solo can be scary and having a teammate can engender a sense of security

the downside is losing the ability to make all of the decisions

if i shower twice a day or once a week is up to me and only me

Yeah that sounds about right. I did 1500 a week avg my first year. Sometimes considerably more. My largest check for a single week so far is 3450.00. It was a week I worked through home time, so it included my home time pay. But yeah some weeks are kind of dry, but other weeks are insane!

Shower on every 30 minute break but I also like to exercise at like a rest area for 30 minutes. I try to stay active as much as possible. I want to stay somewhat healthy even thoigh I smoke. Driving truck I got to cause it's not all pretty scenery and straight wide roads :)

All these people afraid of teaming crack me up.

In most cases teaming gets you way more money than solo.

Some companies will match you up with a driver. Smaller companies usually prefer hiring teams. My current co-driver and I went from 1500/wk to 2100/wk.

Believe it or not, you don't really spend that much time with your partner. Maybe a couple hours each day. One drives, one sleeps. You see each other at shift change.

One of my favorite things about teaming is not having to find a parking spot every night.

I had a guy in my truck for about 2 weeks got him trained up and he went on and got with another guy supposed to be his perm partner.

Well a month later we recover a trailer from a team that got inspected and they found drugs in the truck. They were pulled over for speeding and codriver was riding in passenger seat. They were way out in nowhere KS on some crazy small highway. Can't think of any reason to be out there instead of just taking I70 to Salina then I35 south. My guy was one of the two. Neither guy admitted it was theirs. So my company fired both of them.

If it was my guy he probably had drugs in MY truck too! What if the inspection happened when he was with me?

My company does hair follicle now. I dont know how but habitual drug users are still getting through somehow.

You get some clown in your truck and the wrong stuff happens it can be hard explaining to future employers why you were fired.

It is good money though, absolutely.
