How is it like being weighed or checked by DOT?

    If you run legal then there shouldn't be a issue with coops. My delima is that many of the CAT scales I weigh at aren't calibrated properly. Some were off by as much as 4,000 LBS when compared to a scale at a coop.

    CAT scales weigh you heavier than what you actually are to make sure you are legal. CAT scales are calibrated very regularly since CAT will back you up on an overweight ticket if you use their scales and have your weight balanced properly and get a scale ticket. Have that directly from a very experienced trucker who does not tell trucker tales.

    Read the top of your CAT scale slip sometime and see what they will do if you get an overweight ticket after having scaled out on one of their scales.
