Well, I'll take your word for that. But I'll just add that chivalry isn't dead.:)

well Girls, believe that you can do it and you can. I'm not sayin' that it will be easy, but in time you will be okay. I don't know how to explain this properly, but if you want to truck .... you can. I have had to deal with some crap occasionally, but truckin' is no different in that respect than other professions. I don't wish this on you but, I have had men walk by me and reach out and grab my boobs or as they walk by, pat my rear end. I have had men stand way to close to me at the fuel desk. I can't say that all of this was done by male truckers because more than just truckers are at truck stops. This type of bad behavior can, and does happen in all walks of life. We, as women just have to deal with it as we see fit. I love what I do and wouldn't stop just because of a few rotten apples.

thank you, my brother's always accused me of having " ****off " stamped on my forehead, and I have a hard time in the social scene due to demonstrating my confidence, so maybe these traits will prove to be a deterant for the "rotten apples" you mention. any information you can share regarding the companies I wrote about?

Chivalry is dead, I backed over him at the Glade Spring Petro and dumped my whizz jug on his head.

Did you utter the words, "shut up, stupid" as you drove away? If not, then you missed out on an opportunity.

blue9flamerider; I can't help you with a company choice. I have never worked for any company in my driving career. I obtained my motor carrier authority and just got started on my own. I bought my truck and trailer and had my Dad drive it home for me. I passed the written CDL test, which earned me a learner permit. With Daddys help, in his spare time, he taught me how to drive. During the days when he was busy I just drove around and around and around within about a 5 mile radius of his house, where I kept the truck and trailer. When I became comfortable we went to town and I took the road test .... AND PASSED. All this time knowing that I wanted to work for myself I hired a transportation attorney to get my authority, incorporate and a process agent, as well as all of the other paperwork necessary. Believe me, I would help you if I could.
