Any O/O currently leased to Schneider, how is the freight volume? Are you having downtime waiting for loads at all? Also, how rarely do you see Florida freight? I live in Tampa, wondering how hard it would be to get to the house and still make revenue getting there. Thx!

Always plenty of freight on the board. I never have any downtime waiting.
There isn't much coming out of Tampa. You'd usually have to head at least to the Orlando/Lakeland area most of the time, if not further. There is a yard in Orlando. -
thanks for the reply, but I guess I'll have to look at other options as I just spoke to SNI and they currently don't lease o/o from anywhere in Florida south of Jax.
Intothesunset Thanks this. -
The other day while I was at Speedco near Harrisburg, PA, I had a chat with a Schneider Owner operator who is on a lease purchase with them and on the Choice program.. He is very happy with Schneider and have been there for years. He said he does $700 to $1200 daily in the PA, NY, northeast. Most loads are drop and hook and he do 2 to 4 loads a day. The advantages that Schneider have is the drop and hook and rarely have live loads.

Just get a mailbox in an area they hire in, it’ll cost you less than $100.

How is the freight in the west coast. I see a few lease divers up an down the 5 pretty consistently. I live in Oregon and if I decided to leave my current lease Schneider was on the top of my list. But don't really want to run out of the Western 11.

Says the guy that joined on Monday. How about some details, can you give any?
Schneider’s Choice is one of the few that give you a chance by booking your own freight and having a say over where you run. -
I could go in so much detail. First the rates are usually lower than most carriers. Second, you don't see all the fees associated with picking your own freight. Also, before you see any of the freight, Schneider will review and hold certain freight for lease ops to insure that they make enough revenue to cover the weekly expenses. Not enough for profit, just expenses. Third, if you don't know how to navigate the load board. You will always be behind. To give up 35% is $1,750 out of $5,000 gross. Multiple that by 4 weeks is $7,000 a month you are paying in just revenue to Schneider. After that all your expenses are due. I could go on and on.TruckGal13 Thanks this.
