On my 2007 Freightliner M-2 106 I just spent $ 1000 on New tie rod,
both new ends, New USA drums and shoes, and front end alignment.
Drag Link is a year old with no visible slop when moved.
Alignment shop checked king pins/bushing and they are tight.
I even took a 6' bar and tried to move {anything} that could cause shimmy.
At 65, it shakes like a dog shi*ting razor blades.
After that, 68 to 75 - it's smooth as glass.
I was always told a shake at any speed is a tire balance issue.
I got 2 new front tires mounted and balanced for another 600 bucks.
I watched the guy make it perfect zeros on digital readout and in balance.
So i'm into this for over $1500 and it shakes like it needs a drink.
Any Ideas?
How is this possible??

Bad alignment would be my first guess.

See posts 9,11,26 but read them all. -
Not an apples to apples comparison but I had a failed u-joint on a pickup years ago. It would shudder, shake and bounce like crazy at around 68 to 75 km/h. Above or below that speed there was no shake.

Was it shaking before you started repairs?

Does it shake bobtail? If it's not in the steering wheel, drive tires would be one of my first things to look at

Could be shocks too. My pete would bounce wildly 0-60 and smooth out 60-75

You need to backtrack and find out when this all started. Something has changed……when did it start?
I would start with checking for runout and out of round on the steers. Any wear on the hub pilot/ wheel mounting? -
Tomorrow I'm pulling both front wheel hubs and replacing all brgs.
nothing else left.
I have a hunch the inner bearing curbside is somewhat spalling.
it's not yet rumbly, but it has a tone I noticed.Bean Jr. and singlescrewshaker Thank this.
