Why would they mind if you want to stay out?
It is a pain in the backside to get a driver home, so the less you do it the happier the planners are.
I usually take home time every 4 weeks or so. I have family in three parts of the country, so I rotate between them.
I am currently trying to save for a new computer, and I intend to stay out until I have the cash that I need.
Looks like I'll be out 6-8 weeks this time, because I can't seem to get 2 weeks in a row with really good miles.
Plus the ex needed some extra help this month, which put me behind a week.
How long are your out for.....

Well, these past couple weeks haven't been good to me.
I'll probably be staying out a few more, basically missing one home time.
It doesn't bother me so much (because I need to retime my Thanksgiving home time to be in Denver) , but I wish the miles were more consistent.
It's hard to save cash when I have one great week for every two bad ones. -
Home time ... it's highly over rated.
fr8monkey Thanks this. -

I probably take twice as much hometime as the "normal" solo O/O @ Swift.newtruckerwife84 and WitchyWomen Thank this. -
My wife is used to me being out 3-5 weeks. She knows that the longer out, the more money. She likes money, put in bank, retirement soon.
