Michelin steers xza3's are very impressive. Longest wear I have ever seen. Most expensive I ever bought. Hard to find around me though. I haven't priced them for couple years. I never did the math to know if they were worth the hassle to find and the price they ask.

10/32 maybe 8 in the summer is as far as I like to go then I move them back to the trailer.

My Goodyear's were doing well, but ran over something. Then something on the other side put several slashes in that one.

Got these two Bridgestones for $768 out the door.

So I guess you gotta ask yourself, is $768 worth my life, or tens of thousands in damage if one fails.

I put Centramatics on my steers and drives a year ago. One of the best decisions I have made. Some were concerned they might catch too much mud from my off pavement driving, but I have found they shed mud really well once I get up to "flinging mud" speed

I run Michellins for my steers. They wear really well. Since installing Centramatics the wear is balanced. I expect to get at least 200K miles out of my steers.

I run virgin Yokohama for my drives, the aggressive off road tread. A year in and I expect another year before getting a new set of virgin drives. Although I like this set, next time around I will go with the more expensive Bridgestone off road tires with the open shoulder. The Yokohama's are at their limit with Vaseline mud. Although the Bridgestones may not fair much better, I want every edge I can get. Calling for a bulldozer to get a tow is pricey.

You have fought like a lion for those Centramatics Lepton1. I am surprised at you.

Pray tell what benefit did you feel other than normal machine balancing of your wheel and tire please?

A far far smoother ride. After replacing the front springs and bushings all around I got a three axle alignment done by one of the best. Still a little twitchy at certain speeds. Adding Centramatics when I got all new rubber year ago made everything SMOOTH.

I used to replace steers every 6 months. I would get bridgestones for $300 a pop and rotate the 6mo old steers on to my trailer.

Now my new truck is 24.5 not 22.5 and I will probably switch them out every year.

Centramatics will for sure help high $$ tires last. Plus keep them balanced better. Don't take long for the things to pay for there self's. Have them all around.

I've got centrimatics on my steers, didn't really consider them for the drives... Worth it for them too huh? Maybe I'll give it a try.

I have them on all tractor axles. I have Generals on drives but I forgot what model... they're pushing 250K and they're pretty much gone 6 - 8/32 but their roundness and even wear is outstanding too, I like to think that it is mostly due to the rings, I know it may be a little naive to think that too.
I think about mounting them on trailer when the new tires are due. It might be an overkill to have them on all axles but why not try, if they do help to keep tires in a good shape.

Have seen a few, that added them to trailer also. They stopped odd tire wear. Think of it this way, if you can get 25 to 30% more life out of the tires. Will not take long, until your way ahead. When you have a tire in balance all the time. Even as it wears down, it has to help out. Normal weights work, until tire wear overrides the weight placement. Then its no longer doing its job.
