I would not discard that proposition. Before I put them rings on my steers, barely past 120K it was time to buy new. Granted, I upgraded them to the most expensive in the store but still...Also the drives are doing good too. Besides, always nice to believe in something positive for a change... Go get the Centramatics and you'll see your tires will love you.

I do have them on the steer. No I did not buy them. I have found no evidence of them magically applying more rubber as I have went down the road.
25-30% more miles is just absurd.

Sure, but my steers before were replaced not because they got too thin but warped. I had to replace them with lot of rubber left. It was impossible to drive on them being so bumpy. The devices seem to help with keeping their round shape and even wear forever.

The centramtics do nothing else but dynamic counterbalancing. How's it different from counteract beads? There is no magic involved...they ensure the tires are balanced. Whatever benefits are there due to balanced tires....

If a truck is out of alignment or suspension needs to be worked on, these things won't help much. I've had the rings for four years now. I put them on after replacing steers, kingpins, springs, shocks, tie-rods - everything involving suspension overhaul - I spent over 5K on the work that time and I thought that spending additional few hundreds on 6 rings was not going to kill me. For the last 400K miles, I had no problems with any pathological tire wear at all - they just lose rubber and when they're too thin or get damaged by punctures I replace them.

Think about how a half inch diameter tube with balance media centered in the middle of your tire can balance a pebble stuck in a groove on the left part of your tire... Or how does that work when the centramatic is sandwiched between your duals? There's no way that could possibly balance out several stones in your drives the media is in between the tires can effectively do nothing. Balance media spread out everywhere inside your tires goes where centripetal force makes it go and balances it perfectly. Centramatics don't do that they are just a 1/2 tube filled with shot that does practically nothing. I've run both. Nothing smooths out a truck better than balance media inside the tires.
