Since it seems we are dredging up a thread that died in 2018........the longest I ever stayed out was just about 6 weeks; got a load to CA from ME when I'd already been out 6 days, too hot to stop by the house. Got out to CA and, for the next 10 days I took loads to WA, back to Ca, to NV, back to Ca, to OR, back to CA, until I snatched a load to FL.
From FL, I got all the way up to Atlanta, where I ran SE regional jobs for another 2 weeks,, then a few up to Maryland and back, Philadelphia and back, etc. until I got a load to NJ. While at our E. Brunswick terminal, I told the yard guy to get me a load home to upstate NY, or I was going to clean out my truck and quit. Had to wait a full day, but finally got a load going to Toronto with a 5 day delivery appointment. After that, I was pretty tired of living like a gypsy, so I transferred into "Canadian dedicated", and never went further west or south than Detroit. Got home nearly every weekend, too.

Longest was 10 weeks. I was single, just ended my apartment lease, and had nothing else coming up at home since there aren't any holidays from January 1st til March whatever. By week 5-6, I really didn't think or care about going home. If it wasn't for getting home to see my parents and a couple friends, I probably would've stayed out longer. A lot easier to stay out when not paying for an apartment/house. 200 to live on each week and save 11-1500 is pretty good motivation. It was also before the market completely tanked, so miles were steady.
