Just a note: Both Indiana and Illinois have been cracking down on left lane dwellers in the last few weeks. You can explain to the trooper writing you a ticket why you refuse to follow the "Keep right except to pass" laws.
How long do you wait...?

Quarterly Budget ( """"Performance Evaluations"""" ) "Quotas" is going to be handed in , No surprise

Kinda funny, Us well traveled folks on routes know when revenue """"Performance Evaluations"""" occurs, It's predictable.Mudguppy Thanks this. -
I wish every state would enforce this on every highway, every where. I hate people using the left lane (on a two lane) as "their own".
My own wife and her sisters were one of those---it took me a while, but I broke them of that. Left lane is for passing only...then get the hell back over.NavigatorWife, Mudguppy, Joetro and 2 others Thank this. -
When you're in a governed truck and have only driven a governed truck, it's hard for you to realize how much of a hazard you are when you're in the wrong lane. Your attitude will pull a 180 the moment you drive a truck that can actually go the speed limit.

Yeah, back in '08 (I'm talking 17-08 mind you) we'd get a wagon train convoy going, and whoo wee!!!! Fellers'd be chattering back and forth with their fancy, 1000 BTU smoke signal sqawkers....The discussions would get so intense you couldn't hardly breathe from all the soot floatin's around.....
You kids these days and your fancy-schmancy e-lec-tro toys......
(and yes, I did mean 4, not 40 decades obviously....LOL) -
In recent years I have noticed a lack of courtesy in this industry, so? On your question, I would have just changed lanes, when save to do so and passed, my wait time would have been as long as it would have taking me to change lanes

Is'nt that the truth though,I drove for a company with 58 mph trk.The next company was 65 and I felt like I won the lotto, lol.

Haha. Fooled ya! This is really a hammer lane truck pulling an empty trailer!

Im governed at 62. Only time im in middle is to move over to let truck on or long line of cars or in a city etc. Other than that I ride the right lane. I know all too well about IL cracking down on lane violations. On 294/94 split in Chicago, first time in city read the sign wrong where it says 294 keep left, I did. Got in third lane and got pulled over by a dot officer. Got a warning as I explained what I did and why I did it and first time in city. Now I stay to.right, 2nd right lane to avoid the booths as I have ez pass.
Mudguppy and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
They are not likely to take the hint. Some have even said over the radio that their companies want them to always use the middle lane to avoid traffic at the ramps. Which is B.S. of course if they can't do the spped limit they need to move to the right lane. You see this all the time on I30 going either way through Little Rock. So when you can safely pass on the right, do so. Like said above, no fingers or bad looks and don't cut him off when coming back over just to show him you displeasure. Just pass and go.
Mudguppy Thanks this.
