How about get a regular job and live in a motel or rent a room from someone and save money for trucking school? You are in your 30's, healthy, and not a criminal why did you make such bad decisions? I doubt you will make it in the trucking industry if you are a broke homeless person that tells me you are not willing to work hard and save for emergencies. I grew up with nothing and worked my way to success so I know how easy it is to be lazy but I chose to work hard instead. I know people who are in their 50's who are still broke and do not want to sacrifice anything to get ahead. I doubt you will turn things around unless you change your thought process.

It usually takes a few hours to maybe 2 days at most. They basically do a thorough background check on you. Once everything comes back good, they contact you and see what open schedule they have for you, and see if its feasible for you. Then they make the arrangements for you. I hope that answers your question. I seen you ask the question, and all I seen was a bunch of babbling and not answering your question.
numbers Thanks this. -
while i can see that is an easy opinion to draw based on the picture i painted.......her going back to drugs pushed me over the deep end......we were struggling as it was. I lost both of my parents in high school because my dad was an alcoholic and chose to drive with my mom in the car....he hits a guard rail and both are gone. I chose to live straight and clean, I dont care what others choose to do, i just choose not to live with someone who chooses to go back to her old ways because its "fun"......she had addiction problems in the past apparently, was clean for 9 years and then met a couple new friends, went out and decided drinking and smoking pot was cool again....life goes on.
While you think i may have been bumming, together we were able to get by. We werent rich by any means, but bills were paid and food was on the table. When we called it quits, I guess her dad decided I shouldn't be around anymore so he fired me.....life goes on.
No I don't have my cdl, I need a company school to pay for it
Talked to the landlord today, he is gonna let me stay for an extra month as we did pay our last month up front a couple years ago....i thought it was a security deposit, but it was last months rent....so now I have until June 15th....should be able to find something by then.
I wasn't looking for sunshine injection, I had some serious questions most of which revolved around getting a job asap. Beleive me, even though I said I eliminated certain companies, if I dont start hearing back from some of them, I will go and apply with them...England, CRST, Stevens....whoever. -

yeah, i really have nothing even with the few extra weeks i got when my landlord informed me i had an extra month.......As far as living during the training, I've been told most companies will put you up during training. I got a nice final paycheck coming for 2 weeks of work, and I got some stuff I am going to be selling once I figure out when I will be leaving, couple of tv's, other electronics, washer and dryer......even my scooter if I decide I dont need it anymore.

Thank you for your words of caution and your opinion........my rebuttal is this: I get work, some money, a place to put my head, get to see the country, put up with crap from lousy dispatcher or fleet managers or whatever they are called....I'm actually looking forward to the challenge.

I am going to call sage and all state on monday because I promised some of you who messaged me I would. I'd love to go the route of getting my cdl privately but I know I cant afford to pay money up front for it, and If I do get financial aid or financing I still have to have a place to live......but I am going to call around Monday, I will keep you all updated on this.

I have, not as much interest as you would think. I've spent the good part of the last week and a half doing just that, but my previous boss is seen as a bit of a cut throat and a d-bag in this area. He would do anything to get a deal done including telling bold faced lies to get his money. He has burned a bunch of bridges, and since I worked for him for so long people know me as well....i'm hard to miss 6ft4 225 and full sleeves of tats.....so even though i am free and clear of the old boss and his daughter, gaining trust with people hurt by his tactics is hard.

Working on going to work, not trying to judge anything, believe me. I may have chosen bad personal management over the past few years, I admit that or I wouldn't be where I am at now. Life is full of mistakes, we all make them, just trying to roll with the situation and solve the problem at hand.
