Yeah, it does seem to be getting worse.

Went around Atlanta on I-285 this morning at 0230. Still had plenty of company.

You just stay on defense. "You're the professional driver, you're held to a higher standard".

I always picture a classroom full of CMV cops in a classroom, chanting that for 10 minutes every hour. Because that's the first thing they always say when a four wheeler ruins your safety bonus.

Stay focused but unafraid. Hone your "spider sense". Knowing when the "stupid bell" is about to ring, and knowing what to do about it, and doing it in a timely fashion: To me, that is the measure of a seasoned, capable hand.

And with a shout-out to Six:

    "Luck in battle".

Are you driving a 62 mph truck???? Doesn't make it right but a lot
of drivers get really frustrated with the slow, under-powered mega
    carrier trucks.

I do heavy haul....I can be loaded pretty heavy, run 65mph and I am
still catching up to these trucks......even up hill. Seriously.....what are
    these mega carriers thinking????

I am not a "super trucker" at all but when these XXXX trucks can't get
out of there own way.....of course the traffic gets frustrated. Especially when
these morons are camping out in the center lane......

Regulated speed is only part of the problem. There are plenty of [rent-a-truck] drivers who have been programmed to think that slower speeds and better fuel economy will mean the difference between a 2004 Taurus and a 2019 7 series BMW

No. That costs from 15-55 seconds every day. My time is too valuable for that nonsense.

At $1.10 a mile it doesn’t really matter how fast you’re going. It should be based purely on how fast you want to go broke.

Seen at NFI today. Hiring Team O/O $1.10 a mile.

Maybe if I had a $25k beater. But no, just no

I try to stay the hell out of the way when I see heavy or wide loads coming up behind me. But I’m old school. And that doesn’t seem to mean much these days.

Even out in the sticks I've had people drive stupid. Sometimes I think it's a game for them to mess with the truck drivers.
