So guys, I put out and application to western express that was sent to me from a recruiter on the 20th of this month. Next day she texted asking for a photo of my CDL so I sent that. I called her (and emailed) the past couple days ago and haven’t been able to get ahold of her. Is anyone here able to give me an idea of how long WE takes to get back in touch with you to let you know if they’ve decided to bring you out for orientation and training after getting your application?

Your experience may differ.. some companies drag things out and some don't take enough time

Maybe apply to more companies to see what happens with them.

At my latest gig...from the time I submitted an app....until I heard back from them...was 3 MONTHS.

    No kidding.

    But....I still got the job.

Your takeaway: as suggested above....submit applications elsewhere. Don't wait for a carrier that appears to be "constipated". Don't let them waste your time. Keep looking.

Also: don't "fall in love" with any one particular carrier, either.

Things are slowing down. And companies that would normally try to fill every seat may be slowing as well to keep drivers already there from sitting too much
