How Long is the wait for a trainer?

Your trainer is going to make you or break you.

Wait for what you requested.

 

Yes your truck stinks of cig's you don't smell it but any non smoker will, there are just being polite not telling you. Nicotine is in every cell of your body and coating the interior of your truck like Amorall, also inside the heating and A/C ducts and you believe no one can smell it. You could not be possibly that naive.

Female trainers in this industry are few and far between,you could be waiting another week or two.You better hope you and her get along otherwise you may have another long wait for a trainer.

 

Well,I have had 2 non smokers and the boss in my truck and they commented how clean it was and smelled good...
I never smoke with the AC on recirculate and always have the drivers window open about 2 inches.
I worked there 3 years and the boss never knew i smoked.
The guy driving the same truck today never said a word and he is allergic to smoke.
I never smoke in the bunk and less than a half pack a day when using the E-cig.

I guess by me cleaning and wiping down the interior every couple weeks did the trick.

The guy driving it now is a member here on TTR....bnpcamaro...send him a PM and ask him.

 

For the most part trainers have excellent hygiene,by the condition of their trk says it all.You have one with a deplorable trk then plan on showering once a month whether you need it or not.But if he has a clean trk,you'll shower often.Some do every day.But most its every other day and use babywipes inbetween ,they work great.Most drivers do smoke which could pose a problem but walmart sells face mask for ppl with alergies.That might help.Back to the hygiene issue,some women are worse then guys.

 

Some companies now will not let men train women, Prime is one of them.

When training with a man I don't believe they usually put a women up in a motel, you are on the truck for the duration. If they are not having you drive as a team while in training, sometimes you may end up parked along the side of a road after delivery or pickup because you are out of hours to drive, no motel there.

If the trainer takes a 34hr at home, if the company allows him to, then maybe they might put the trainee up in a motel, or just leave them in the truck at the truckstop, gets you use to the norms of the industry at least.

 

I laugh every time a smoker says "Not my truck" lol. Smoking should be banned in all company vehicles. Especially if you are traveling with another company employee. If you own the truck go ahead and ruin it by smoking in it.

I think all drivers in the truck stop should wash their hands after using the bathroom too but most just walk right out and go to the buffet....
There are a lot of nasty ### drivers out there and smoking is at the bottom of the list.
