Ding ding ding! Rontonio has it, I'm on 250, the pole fleet. The 36" sleeper is, as far as I can tell, is attempted to be justified by the bunk rack, but again, my T800 had the same bunk rack with a 54" sleeper, so... no.
I'm not 100% but I think that these new 36" sleepers are a fairly new deal on this pole fleet. And honestly in the long run I think it's going to cost them drivers. I can see myself dealing with this little tiny sleeper for a while, but definitely not long term, not years, no way. And I haven't raised heel about it with my dispatcher for a couple reasons: 1- ain't sheet he can do about it, & 2- I don't see the point of whining about every little thing. Trucking ain't a job for pansies, flatbedding even less so. With my dispatcher, I save my #####ing for things that matter, and that he can have an effect on. Otherwise, what's the point, other than to make him think I'm just a whiny little #####, like you guys all do by now.
Quit cryin or we'll buy you the 18" sleeper straight truck! https://www.truckpaper.com/listings/trucks/for-sale/190658653/1998-freightliner-fld120?CTRY=USA
I was talking with this Odins Dog guy the other day, said he put up with that tiny sleeper for over eight months, then had enough of it, and left.
I don't. It turns out he and I were driving on the same fleet, are from the same general area, and didn't know each other. It was a random chat at a truck stop while waiting in line, we started chatting. No idea where he went though.
I live up here, up north of Kalispell. Actually, that's part of the trouble I have finding driving jobs, a lot of companies won't hire from this area. That, and I've done too much job jumping.
