ill be honest i didn't read the thread just the title
but i take my 10 on the fuel island. short distance to walk in and shop or shower if i smell so bad the dog cant stand me. on top of that i don't have to back into a space cause i never learned how. -
So this has to do with EOBRs and the required 30 minute break? I've noticed this behavior has picked up lately. I guess guys get their fuel and use that time as their 30 minute break? Truck stops need to put up signs saying you cannot do your 30 minute break at the pumps.
As for my fuel stops I'm all business. Get the pumps going ASAP, and clean windows + tighten load while the pumps are going. Usually I have a bit of time to draw a line before the pump clicks off. Pull up, run inside, take a leak, and use the automated computer to get my ticket. I put in my truck # instead of swiping because it's always faster. By the time I'm out usually the guy behind me hasn't started or has just started pumping.
If I do anything else such as buy product, I'll park it. -

Just get in line behind 2 or 3 trucks if it's your break time. By the time you get to the pumps you've taken your 30 min break.
