Nah, not another beeching post about rates. We're talking fuel. I've made a colossal miscalculation on my fuel level (needs new sending units).
Most I've seen run out around 2" roughly. I've got 3" with 31 miles to go.
Filled up Thursday in Deming, NM. Unloaded in Amarillo then home to Arkansas. Picked up and delivered in Nebraska this morning and reloaded.
1650 miles right now.

Mine also go below empty I’ve gone 160 miles at empty and when I filled up according to my math still had like 30 gallons between both tanks

My gauge will be about 1/16th under E and I can run for about 150 miles, ran out of fuel coming up to cross train tracks and went neutral through it thank god.

I've gone below empty as well. I didn't strap the tanks, so I don't know how deep the fuel was, but I put 139 gallons in two 75 gallon tanks. That was scary enough. Especially as hilly as it was.

i would think going that low is just going to suck up all the crap from the bottom of your tanks
Another Canadian driver, Last Call, Midwest Trucker and 3 others Thank this. -
