When I bought my truck, I bought it for running in northern Canada. It had the engine I wanted, the transmission, the rear ends, the wheelbase, the sleeper. It was everything I wanted, but it was old.
I built the engine, got the ECM dyno tuned, bigger turbo, custom clutch, bigger radiator, grenaded the transmission, and ordered a much stronger transmission. I guess I could do the same thing...get me a newer truck and transfer the guts and everything into the newer truck..Straight Stacks Thanks this. -

My friend bought a 2011 volvo cummins engine from an owner operator he new for years. Truck looks and drives brand new. He over paid 10k for that reason trusting his friend took care of it.. It's been two monthes now. Had a thing here and there go wrong..it's at about 600k miles.. Now it's in the shop for an over haul..
I was told "if a truck is over 700k you're good"mountaingote Thanks this. -
For me there are more factors than just the mileage. I just bought a '95 KW that has 2.5 mil on it. The guy I bought it from has had it the last 5.5 years and had a journal of everything he did to it while he had it.
