I ran around 1900 this week all in the northeast. Good thing I get paid percentage. Company truck with PMTG, made $1.00/mile on all miles this week. Last week was even better!!!
The new car business is picking up.

Amazing I thought anything automotive was a flashing red light.
I guess if your neighbor's kid got a new 328i for sweet 16, then you better get your kid a 328i x. The beautiful people are still beautiful

What does your data say for the near future in trucking?
-
I've got 0 miles this week so far, lol! Just left the house from home time. They said to check back in a few hours, nothing for me just yet.
I hate it cause when I come off home time, I have to move the truck 8 miles up to a truck stop to get a signal on the Qualcomm (lots of trees at the house block signal) and there's usually something for me on there ready to go when I leave out.
I had to circle the lot for 20 minutes like a vulture waiting on a parking spot. It's mid morning now and none of the trucks here are leaving, lots of "sitters" and there are about 6 trucks doing the circling looking for a spot. Anyone else just sitting right now? I hate to be pessimistic, but it already looks like this is going to be a tough time back out again. -
Can't you just sit at home and wait for your dispatcher to call you?
-
Never had to do that before, always had something put on me the day before even before they get in the office (they are on central time). I've always went up the road there and got my biscuit and coffee and signal on the day back out and then went to pick up a load when I'm empty (rarely go home loaded) and head north or south.
As slow as it was for me last week I should have sat at home and called in instead. I just assumed as soon as I headed out I would have something on me with a short pickup time like always.
I'm back at home for a "bonus" night off, lol! Can't pick up until tomorrow and deliver 400 miles away in Georgia on Friday morning. I've been in my own truck for 6 months now and I'm not used to the slowdowns like the vets are, this is my first experience with a slowdown. Still learning I guess.
