If the price of fuel stays down for a while, it might be looking up.:yes2557:

I got fuel in Jackson, MS yesterday for $2.91. And today, while cruising across I-40 in Tennessee, I saw gasoline for $2.25 a gallon. It hasn't been $2.25 since what... 2001?

Been averaging about 2200 a week for the past 6 weeks. Down from over 3000 a week in the summer. Dispatch says the economic crisis is causing a freight slowdown but I haul for a major refer company. People aren't eating now either?

I believe it's much more than gas prices. It's a called a "crisis of confidence". This is to simple of a phrase. Citizens have lost confidence in our government. A government that has abandoned it's citizens in favor of corporations. A government that has allowed our jobs to go over seas to China and India. A government that has allowed the Mexican Invasion to take place. A government that has allowed Mexicans to breed in our country and have their babies on our tax money; now Mexicans are over 50% of California. A government that has been BRIBED by corporations to allow all these things to happen in the name of DEREGULATION for business. DEREGULATION = NO LAWS FOR BUSINESS. A government that has created many laws to control and manipulate Americans and allow business's to run wild. Just look at the financial crisis.

We are heating up the cheapo salsbury steaks and instant mashed potatoes this time around when I'm home, we just can't afford real food. Our dinner tonite almost looks like a mini flying j buffet, but the J can cook better than I can.

    Last month, 12019 dispatched miles..
    This month, 11956 dispatched miles..

Haul for a major reefer company. Some drivers have seen a slow down, I have not. I AM WILLING to take the 500 mile runs, for they ususally line me up a good run afterwords, and if they don't, the 500 mile run each day adds up. 2 to 3 hours unlaoding does cut into drive time, but I catch a nap in the sleeper, and then hit the road again.
