Thats roughly what I had this month is just 20 days. 18 of that workin.

Some times it does suck a lot to be away from home that much. Only home on sundays.

I have forced dispatch, as do most truckers, I HAVE to take everything they give me and I do. There just isn't much out there and when you show up at a shipper or receiver and have to wait 7 hours to be loaded/ unloaded that really screws up your day. I have NEVER turned down a load I have the hours for and I put on over 600 miles a day. But you can only haul if they have a load for you.

3000 miles a week is only 600 miles a day. Then again, my truck "runs".:yes2557:

3500 miles on the odometer when I came home yesterday afternoon... I got plenty of sleep.

Yes, I am going to be "staying put". Miles really don't mean anything when you are paid by the hour. I try to use up as many hours as I can during the week so Friday will be a light day. That means I can come home early and start my weekend.

Before you make any comment about just sitting around to get hours, it doesn't work that way. I voluteer for as many loads as I can legally do Monday thru Thursday.

Can't sleep more than 5 or 6 hours a night. Never could, but feel fully rested with that amount of sleep.

I'm getting about 10,000 miles a month. I'm kinda happy not to be running the tires off the truck.....
