The bad economy reared it's ugly head on me last week. I only got 3815 miles. The week before was 4424, and two weeks prior was 4276. This past week that I just finished, I only got 2315, but I was home for 3 1/2 days.

Before you guys even start, Yes I get plenty of sleep. Yes, it is possible to log that many miles when you watch what you are doing. Of course it helps to have a 2100 mile average length of haul, be able to run/log the speed limit, and have 75% drop/hook. I also utilize the 34 hour restart midweek when needed to maximize my hours.

I'm an owner/op leased to a reefer company.

They're not out of TN.,they are from up north in SD. I run the north country for weeks on end until I decide to go home. That is how I get the miles. If you are still interested after reading that, then I will PM you a name.

I used to wonder how guys could log that many miles but I have been on some good 650-800 mile runs this week and even with some sitting I got about 3k miles in the last 6 days and I am brand spanking new. I like those kinda runs. Now if they get me preplanned for a load after I drop my current one I will be looking good this week. Guys I talk to seem to be getting some decent miles here at TCAM. Like i said brand new to my truck week and a half ago. Heard some companys go easy on the new guys at first, glad they are giving the miles right off the bat. Even gave me a chance at a real tight 772 mile run with verbal dispatch the other day, made it legal and with 45 minutes to spare.
