most I've ever done in one shift (11/14) is 787 miles, but my truck runs 75+ mph. Used to do Denver to Houston in 62 hrs rnd trip, that including dropping a container at one port and picking up another. Someone mentioned 300 to 350 miles in Colo., you must have an underpowered truck, Denver to Grand Junction and back is 512 miles rnd trip, 10 hrs, do it all the time, heck for awhile there I did 5 days a week for 3 weeks straight. In a pinch I can do Denver to Durango and back legally, but the stars and traffic must line up perfectly.

I usually set a limit of 700-720 miles per 11 hours of driving, in a truck governed at 65.

Of course, when I stop somewhere, I just round it off...like if it were 400 miles, I will just log that as 6 hours. See, if you leave at, say, 08:53, you're supposed to log that as 09:00. Then you get there at 15:07, you're supposed to round that to 15:00. So that's 15 minutes more you can log for free.

being from denver, then you know all too well how the colorado backroads SUCK.

it took took 8 1/2 hours to drive 225 miles from pueblo to montrose. but that includes a 2 hour unload 75 miles out of pueblo. empty rest of the way. to montrose.

it took 5 1/2 hours to drive 107 miles from montrose to durango.

the only way your going roundtrip from denver to durango and back in one shift. is in a car.

    colorado has the worse backroads.

top speed 50 mph for the most part. with a 15 mph curve about every 1/4 mile.

I used to run Pueblo to Montrose for a while. 4 to 5 hours one way. The thing that slows you down the most is RVs. When the roads get curvy is when they are the most fun. I still like to run it whenever I can.

BS. You can run 700-720 in a truck that runs 65. Don't stop every 15 minutes and keep the door closed. The only reason to not be able to do that is if you're lazy.

Large cities are where I make up most of my mileage. I take(log) a 15-30 minute break, depending on city size, then knock off a similar amount of miles from my total.
