Lots of sleepless nights...Didn't even drive a car for over a month, still haven't driven a truck. I've looked at a few, just can't get motivated to buy another one. It was fun fighting the Insurance company trying to get somewhat close to what my old truck was worth. What a bunch of crooks.

Leased to Mercer & paid on percentage! Average between 3200 to 4000 miles a week. Depending on how hard I want to work!

I work for Swift, and I'm sure I'll be considered lazy by some here, but I try to keep my miles down between 2000-2500. Number 1- we do a lot of short haul, so a good portion of my 70 is used up with on-duty stuff (drop and hooks, sliding tandems, etc) and doesn't leave much time for driving. Number 2- I'm not all about money; I prefer to have a life.

I am still around researching companies for when I get through school.
One thing I have not found here is a thread about which truckers are getting the best miles..
Companies all seem to say the same thing.."we have the miles"...and I know once I start driving I am stuck the 1st year. Any answers are appreciated.
