Pritchett Trucking out of Lake Butler Florida, I run a dedicated route and put down 2,600 miles a week. After all those miles in a daycab I'm ready for the weekend and the good thing is I have them off
i am brand new to truck driving. i drive for a large company out of wisconsin. inthe last 7 days i got 153 miles and got to sit in my truck for the 4th of july. truck driving sucks
I hope you guys know i was joking. But you should plan for the worst if you're gonna work for a big company.
Awwww Man! You didn't believe that TV commercial did you? You know the one!! It says "Run with the Big Dogz. Make the big money driving a truck!" Truck driving is WORK! A lot of people aren't cut out for the challenges that WORK gives them!
The work never bothered me - it was the fact I didn't get paid for a lot of that work that bothered me. I would imagine this is a huge reason a lot of newer drivers who can handle it end up quitting. I've never worked harder than I do now considering I'm on the dock for 3-5 hours per night but that's fine because I'm paid for it now.
