I started in oct 1978 as an owner operator. In 84 I went company local hauling gasoline till july 99. I am now a company driver over the road with a big southeast ltl company. My guess is about 2.5... A few tickets.. A couple of jacknifes.
Bad weather..4 wrecks.1 in my pickup my fault and 3 where I was hit or envolved.. Its been fun, and a fast rewarding career.....

Glad to made it out alive to tell about!
2+million miles for me. 2 crashs, 1 in the mid 80's and 1 in the early 90's. A cheet load of speeding tickets back in the 55mph for all days, glad most states came around to my way of thinking, 70~75mph -
In 31 years, probably well over 2 million - accident free.
I started in Alberta, with a KW hauling drilling mud out to the oil and gas wells on a flatdeck, in the mountains. Chained up most of the time - 80% off road. Didn't even know what a Jake brake did for the first couple of weeks.
Climbing the mountains, off road, wasn't too bad, on one trip had to have a D9 pull me to the top. Unfortunately, what goes up, must come down and the first wek was spent with one foot on the brake, the other propping the door open, since this captain wasn't planning on going down with the ship. -
]My hats off to anyone who has a million + miles and still be above ground let alone no accidents. Pete cracked me up when he redid dogs post,on cheeting the pants!

I have right about 2.2 million miles in the first 18 years driving. Been out of OTR for 9 months right now. Getting ready to get back out there and get a few million more. I have no tickets so far. But have deserved a few. Only been in one little fender bender where the guy hit me.
