JEEZZUSS! I took my CDL in a Freightliner Classic XL with a 48' trailer and it just squeeked through a couple of the turns!

That thing makes the XL look like a tinker toy!

In personal vehicles my last fender bender was in '03. My last ticket... I can't really remember one after 1980 when the '79 F-150 I was driving with oversize tires would not engine break for nothin' and TDPS nailed me for 12 over. I've had between my 1990 F-350 and my 2003 Ram 2500 well over 300K safe and no tickets.

I'll be 50 in April and just starting my OTR career. But I try to drive my Ram as safe as can be done so I think I'll fit right in.

I have just over 1.5 million miles at the wheel- more than I cared to do but here I am, still slaving away.

since 1989. no accidents, a couple of overweight fines. probably got paid for 1.8 of it. will probably get credited for .5 of it by some recruiter who knows more about me than I do.

Since 95 mostly pulling a reefer. Couple of mishaps along the way, nothing serious and no one died, at least to my knowledge. :biggrin_25511:

Little over 30 years truckin', never kept track of cummulative miles. 1 speeding ticket 8 yrs. ago, 1 non-preventable head-on with another truck in '80. You tell me.

Crossed that threshold in 05. Nearly 1.4 without ticket and more than 2.7 without accident.

I reached a million about two years ago.
Accident free and I went ten years without a ticket. Then I got 3 in 2008, bam bam bam.
Seat belt violation which I always wear. he got me coming out of a truck stop and I just haven't strapped in yet.
Running a red light when a cop changed it as he pulled up on a side road. It was a split second decision and I had a truck on my tail and I knew I would of ended up in the intersection, so I gassed on it. The cop didn't see it that way.
Last was a biggie for crossing a restricted bridge. All kinds of excuses but none were acceptable :)

JustSonny and Dave 1960 Thank this.
