"for a 48 flat."
I'm trying to figure out a quote for a customer. Anyone have a ballpark average of how many pallets and the approximate weight for a load of pallets on a 48'?
How many pallets/weight on average gor 48 flat.

At 16 pallets per stack, that's 416 pallets. Just under 17,000 lbs.
That's very ballpark, figuring a 40 lb pallet with stacks roughly 8' tall, and 26 stacks.singlescrewshaker, D.Tibbitt and Atlaw4u Thank this. -
also, what kind of pallets? Cheap wood pallets, CHEP pallets, or plastic pallets? CHEP are going to be heavier than the cheap pallets, i think the plastic pallets are a little lighter than the CHEP pallets are, but not sure.

They are wood.

Chep pallets are blueAtlaw4u Thanks this.

Thanks all. I've got enough info for a quote.

Chep pallets weigh 60 Lbs
Wood pallets weight 30 to 48 lbs (usually around 40 lbs)
So on a 48' (24 pallets on average) wood pallets total 960 lbs @ (24 pallets)
Chep pallet total 1440 lbs @ (24 pallets)
CHEP Pallets
CHEP Pallets

Its a load of pallets.... so that number would be more like 200 +/- pallets, not 24

Either way the basis of each pallet weight is there so the math of stacks of 15 pallets by 24 (360 pallets) is there for the calculated load weight.Atlaw4u Thanks this.
