That's kinda my point. They seem to be missing their main purpose, to keep the junk off the road.

Just because a truck looks like it's a piece of junk DOES NOT mean it is. Many drivers take pride in a crappy looking truck. I love those old cab over sleeper trucks. They may look rough but they're most likely legal. Tinted windows, crap on the dash, lots of electronic stuff in the windshield, that puts up a red light. Never had that and so far I've been waved by. OBER sticker helps as well.

Here we go, someone taking offense to a point they missed. Looking like junk does not make it junk, but leaning over, fenders flapping, body parts being held on by bungee cords broken windshield etc. is in obvious violation, yet they pass me every day doing 75 or better.

Missouri is the worst state for ticketing for tinted windows. They even have cop cars with tinted windows, giving truckers tickets for tinted windows. Their DOT are the worst of the worst. I remember one time a DOT officer was off duty & had his wife and children in the car & harrassed a trucker that was sleeping in the parking lot of the scales which were closed. He made a big scene, showing off in front of his wife and children. Those Missouri DOT officers remind me of the Beverly Hillbillies & Keystone Cops combined.

I wonder if these D.O.T. officers have to answer for their behavior when it becomes unprofessional.

Driver I don't know if it will show yet or if you have figured out how many points were assessed but you can get on the safer sys punch in your company MC or DOT # click on SMS results in the top right corner above licencing and insurance click on vehicle maintainance and then check in the inspections with violations and it should show when and where you were inspected and how many points were assessed.

Well it's a new day and a new DOT officer. This time in LA. Followed me into a truck stop. Comes over with light meter in hand. I was like man I just got a ticket for this, Lic., registration, etc. After showing him my papers, I showed him my inspection form and ticket from the other day. After a bit of bs and letting him pet the dog he gave me a break. He claims no medical wavers exist for tinted windows. I just got done ripping it off! SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
