    U can't have both it's one or the other most use the expansion valve . 5 minutes vacuum to check for leaks 15m for a quicky and charge , 30m is better but the best is 1hour , your not just making it a negative pressure your removing moisture moisture ! That's the enemy to the system , a general repair cost is $1000 . Do the HOUR .

    This was mine, specks from the factory a 2001 truck in avatar. FREON = 5.85 LBS

    I just replaced everything AC related beside the condenser.it took 4lbs and it blows ice cold.
    Only problem is if i put it on recirculation mode most of the air blows to the foot vents.frezzes my feet to death.any idea why it’s dumping most of the air in the foot vents???

    clean out your drain tube. its the plastic line coming down from the cab behind the passenger side front tire. Take it out of the mounting strap, that usually kinks it.

    That’s your condensation drain tube. If you have the manual levers for climate control that’s probably just wore out and you need a new one. If you have the electronic control for climate, it could be a whole Nother issue.
