Not sure if you Broker both Large and Small Carriers,But im pretty sure Werner,Schneider,or another Mega would have a driver or teams available to run your loads for you thru the Holidays, they always hold them guys up for some reason,or either buy they hometime from them to keep them out longer,,unless u STRICTLY PREFER OPS to DELIVER your freight and if so i totally UNDERSTAND, lol only way i would run if i allready had my mind made up it would have to be ENUFF MONEY TO FINANCIALLY motivate me,and im talking alot of MOTIVATION,but truckers run Hard all year long,we dont take off for Valentines day,Easter,4th of july,Our Birthday,Halloween, and barely Thanksgiving, because we are to busy trying to make sure were where we supposed to be with the Loads to make everyone else Holidays take off with no problems but as you stated $3.50-$4.00 load you mite find a few thats willing to help you out,But Christmas hell yeah u better believe it lol

Plus, if you run through Christmas, you might run into Santa along the way! I ran into him about 12 years ago at the HEB in Houston

You might find some weasel under 3.5 .... You got the cracker-jack putting on his boots at 4.5 !

I here you. I try to stay away from the big cdl mills. If they have 20 trucks or less I'll talk to them. I would rather talk to the driver then dispatch. I did have carriers in the area I called that were already home for Christmas. They were like you, they could move the load get back by the 24th or early 25th but it would cost. Called shipper told him to deliver load would be this much because of holiday. He called me back said he would move after Christmas. Enjoy your holidays guys I decided to take the next week off. But since I'm single will probably post a lot on the boards because I'm bored.ramblingman Thanks this.
