I wouldn't tell your recruiter anything. But your trainer just be up front and honest right from the get go. if they have a problem with it they can let you know before you even get on the truck

Frankly no one gives a #### unless your in their face about it. Im busy driving my own rig doing my own ####. And so are 99% of other drivers. Not gawking at a rando.

    Rude? Yes. Welcome to trucking.

You’ll find that almost all of your time will be spent alone in the truck, and what little contact you have with other people (shipping clerks, folks at truck stops as you fuel, etc) will be so fleeting that most will be over before anyone bothers to even question your gender identity.

Hmm alright nice. If they did would i just be assigned a different recruiter then? Another lgbt would be great. I am likely going to start with Roehl

I know lol that’s a big reason i choose this path. Only rough part is the training period and getting a job since most seem to only want to hire good ol boys

I’ve never ever had a single job in my life ask me what my sexuality was like. I wish they would have because I bet it would’ve been a banger lawsuit. How would anyone know unless you told them? Every truck has a tranny…

Well this may sound rude, and I honestly, honestly don't mean it to be, but would it be possible to act 'normal' for a few weeks? I mean, once you get in your own truck, you can be whoever you want to be.
However, sticking it in their face from jump street is probably not a good idea.
Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

So which bathroom do you use? Do you think you’re allowed to use both?

With all due respect, I am a big believer in the don't ask don't tell policy.

A lot of lgbt folks go around making a big spectacle of themselves, and they are the ones who catch the most crap.

Just go about your life and act like a mature adult and you'll be fine.

On the other hand, if you show up to orientation wearing a rainbow dress and clown makeup and chanting about trans rights through a mega phone, yeah you will probably catch some flack.

With that said, welcome to the forum and good luck with your trucking career. I worked for Roehl years ago, it's a great place to start.
