How much are loads worth? (literally)

greatly depends on the broker and what you are hauling ? Ive been told anywhere between priceless,50 to over 100k Be carefull who you ask though on the phone or in person because if you give someone the idea that you are getting load value info, you might be dispached on very low value freight and low miles too.

 

We drivers haul their loads risking our lives every second of the day .We'll do whatever it takes to get their precious cargo delivered safely and on time so our dispatchers will be proud of us and for what, peanuts.I know im dramatizing it a bit,lol

And this is why WE get paid the BIG BUCKS for our profession... heck, I hope that driver made a killing on that load. Hopefully he was able to pull off at least $200 for hauling that 4 million load. :sarcasm:

 

I've hauled a used truck body worth $1,500 and I've hauled spooled cable worth $1 million. So the average for me is somewhere between those two.

 

Nothing worth dying for.

I recall once hauling several caseloads of toilet paper. What's the value of even one roll? Ask yourself that the next time you're in the "stall" and your eyes are fixed on that empty roll dispenser...
